Hundreds of Muslims Attack Village meets local mosque.
Young and old, male-female, bay-infants to grandparents meet the mosque in the village who entered the South Denpasar. The prayers are recited in Arabic. The cookies were distributed. The only mosque in the attack was too hectic by the baby crying and prayers.

Thursday, Muslims Attack Village celebrating the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad SAW. In the local language called Mauludan. This tradition does not do all Muslims. However, Muslims in Bali like in attack (Denpasar), Pegayaman (Buleleng), Saren Jawa (Karangasem), or somewhere else, usually carry this tradition.

Similarly, the Prophet's Birthday this year.

For the first time I saw this ritual. Previously, I've never seen this ritual at all, including in my home village on the north coast Lamongan, East Java. In my village there is no ritual Mauludan this. Therefore, it was fun to see this ritual.

Unfortunately when I got there, around 3 pm, the ritual was about to finish. All the Muslims in this village had gathered at the mosque in the village of Ash-Shuhada this. The mosque was full by about 300 people.

On the inside of the mosque, men were praying while standing. On the outside, the majority of mothers holding babies. In the courtyard, girls dress typical Bugis and boys dressed in koko, excited when he received gifts.

There are two mountains, looks at first glance like gebogan the Balinese tradition, height of about 3 meters. Mountains made of banana tree is filled with bamboo punctures with colorful paper ornaments. At the end of punctures there are cakes and ... eggs.

Some officers split cakes and eggs to all people, especially children. I also miss out. Three skewers rebusnya complete with eggs.
Recitation Al-Barzanji, a kind of prayer for the safety of the prophet, was a ritual Mauludan cover in attack. Before that, around 1 pm, all residents in advance these mountains paraded around the village. In addition to the two piles contain a variety of cakes and colored eggs are also typical miniature boats phinisi Sulawesi.

At around 3:45 pm, when the Asr prayer arrived, the ritual was completed.

When people have to scatter, I chatted briefly with one of the organizers, Hanafi. We sat on the porch of the mosque with some other journalists.
According to Hanafi, Mauludan ritual is one of the traditions of the Muslims in the attack. He himself did not know when it started. "Since I was a kid there was this ritual," he said.

Mauludan style attack Muslim, Hanafi said, has some uniqueness. First, because local Muslims boats paraded around the village. It is a symbol of respect for the ancestors, Bugis people who used to come to Bali. That's why this village was known as Kampung Bugis.

One of the residents of Kampung Bugis is also elder, Mohammed Mansour, once told me about the origins of Muslims here. According to Mansour, in the 17th century, there were 10 people from the Bugis who come to Bali. They are anchored in the attack, which was once a separate island of Bali.
With the permission of the King of Badung, which controls the attack time, the Bugis people is also live and breed in the attack today. For that reason, when implementing Mauludan, Bugis people in the attack were brought this boat as a symbol of veneration.

The uniqueness of both Mauludan in attacks, according to the Hanafi, is the presence of eggs. "In no other area that carry eggs when Mauludan," he said.
When looking at the number of eggs that hung in the mountains, I still think of Easter eggs. No warning Muslims attack in Kampung Bugis also do the same.

One of the residents who participated Mauludan said the eggs and babies are brought current Mauludan ritual as a symbol of birth, which is similar to Mauludan celebration to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
Ease, because the eggs are boiled so it could be eaten once held Mauludan completed. Thus, the stomach was full after Mauludan.
